Meeting the Gorillas Up and Close

Meeting the Gorillas Up and Close

I think it’s about time we started looking at our options for a vacation this year. I want to do something different for a change. We always go someplace really crowded, and I feel we have had this for a really long time and it’s high time we changed. Usually, we are off at a beach somewhere with the rest of the world, and occasionally we go skiing or something. There are always a lot of people around though. I want to go somewhere this year where we will hardly see anyone.

Maybe we could go on one of those Gorilla trekking safari as I recently read about them being really endangered and found nowhere under captivity in the world. I hear it’s mostly about seeing wild animals and stuff like that. I have heard though that you could see the mountain gorillas and that they are different from the ones I have seen in the zoo, that I should picture something like King Kong, wow that is amazing if it is true. I should most definitely go and check this out besides I want something different, something random and something that I have not set my eyes to do before.

From correspondences with different tour operatours i have been told that a maximum of eight people per gorilla trekking group so am all in since I want something that is not too crowded. I don’t know anyone that’s been on one, but I keep picturing a wild long safari where I get to interact with the wild at close range, and based on some info I read it says that you are allowed a maximum of an hour in the gorillas’ amidst. I have heard that you see these gorillas from as close as twenty feet, this is amazing and I have to see for myself.

You can’t have too many people out there, or you’ll start to scare away all of the wildlife. Then what would you have to attract everyone? I think I might look into that a little more. I have started posting on different blogs and visiting blogs for people who have been on these Gorilla treks and indeed the pictures look extremely astonishing not to mention the different explanations and words I get from different people to explain how interesting their experience with the gorillas was. So far I have not got any one talking negatively about the whole gorilla tracking experience and that has made me so geared up to go on this particular voyage.
